چکیده

We consider the well known problem of pattern matching under the Hamming distance. Previous approaches have shown how to count the number of mismatches efficiently especially, when a bound is known for the maximum Hamming distance. Our interest is different in that we wish collect a random sample of mismatches of fixed size at each position in the text. Given a pattern p of length m and a text t of length n, we show how to sample with high probability c mismatches where possible from every alignment of p and t in time. Further, we guarantee that the mismatches are sampled uniformly and that they can therefore be seen as representative of the types of mismatches that occur.

Channel linearity mismatch effects in time-interleaved ADC systems

A time-interleaved ADC system is an effective way to implement a high-sampling-rate ADC with relatively slow circuits. In the system, several channel ADCs operate at interleaved sampling times as if they were effectively a single ADC operating at a much higher sampling rate. Mismatches among channel ADCs degrade SNR and SFDR of the ADC system as a whole, and the effects of offset, gain and band...

Quantized Feedback Stabilization of Sampled-Data Switched Linear Systems

We propose a stability analysis method for sampled-data switched linear systems with quantization. The available information to the controller is limited: the quantized state and switching signal at each sampling time. Switching between sampling times can produce the mismatch of the modes between the plant and the controller. Moreover, the coarseness of quantization makes the trajectory wander ...

Adaptive algorithm for increasing image rejection ratio in low-IF receivers

An adaptive method for compensating mismatch effect on an I/Q demodulation is presented. It is based on the correlation between the desired and image band that appears when there is a mismatch in any branch. The proposed algorithm is specially intended for narrowband low-IF receivers. No calibration source is neccesary. Up to 91 dB of image rejection ratio is achieved with narrow-bandwidth sign...

Power Reduction with Dynamic Sampling and All-Digital I/Q-Mismatch Calibration for A MB-OFDM UWB Baseband Transceiver

A dynamic sampling and digital I/Q-mismatch calibration (IQM) in a MB-OFDM UWB baseband transceiver are proposed to reduce ADC power and analog IQM-calibration power. Measured transceiver power consumes 31.2mW, saving at least 43% ADC power and tolerating 10x IQM (2dB gain and 20 degree phase errors) of existing designs to reduce the power and design efforts from analog calibration circuits.

Analysis of Mismatch Effects in Randomly Interleaved A/D Converter System, Report no. 2496

To significantly increase the sampling rate of an A/D converter (ADC), a time interleaved ADC system is a good option. The drawback of a time interleaved ADC system is that the ADCs are not exactly identical due to errors in the manufacturing process. This means that time, gain and offset mismatch errors are introduced in the ADC system. These errors cause non harmonic distortion in the sampled...

Impact of Time-interleaved Analog-to-Digital Converter Mismatch on Digital Receivers

This paper presents the impact that gain, offset and timing mismatch in time-interleaved analog-to-digital converter (TIADC) have on digital receiver systems. An analysis of the mismatch errors shows the dependency of the different errors from the spectrum of the input signal. A discrete-time TIADC model is derived allowing to simulate the mismatch effects of the individual ADCs. Finally, simul...
